Explorer The Armstrong Explorer excursion takes the fully restored X-CNR steam locomotive #2141 and it's consist of three passenger cars, two open air cars, a dining car, and a caboose on a 182 kilometer round trip from Kamloops to Armstrong, BC. The trip normall takes a full day, departing at 8:30am and returning by 6:00pm. The 2141 no longer makes the excrsions due to issues surrounding the leasing of the rail line from the lease-holder, Kelowna Pacific Railway. However, the dream trip still lives on the minds and memories of the thousands of passengers who experienced "steaming back into history" on the Kamloops to Armstrong run. KAMLOOPS HERITAGE RAILWAY The Kamloops Heritage Railway is owned, operated and maintained by the Kamloops Heritage Railway Society, a charitable non-profit organization. Their Railtour Maintenance programs are staffed by dedicated volunteers. Your support and tax-deductible donations are greatly appreciated.
